Connecting a Board
:::note Scope of this page Initial physical board setup and camera calibration are handled by a separate application (the Board Manager), not by play-v2.autodarts.io itself. That setup flow is out of scope for this documentation pass and will be covered in a future update. There is also a recalibration option available mid-game, which will be documented once we cover that flow.
This page covers what you'll actually see on play-v2.autodarts.io: choosing how you want to score, and selecting an already-set-up board when you start a game. :::
Choosing a scoring method
When you start a new game (see Playing Your First Game), Autodarts asks how you want to track your darts. There are three options:
- Manual — type your scores in yourself.
- Lens — phone-camera-based autoscoring.
- Hardware — a dedicated Autodarts board/camera setup handles autoscoring.
Selecting Hardware is the path that uses a physically connected and already-calibrated Autodarts board.
Selecting your board
After choosing Hardware, Autodarts shows the board(s) already set up on your account through the Board Manager. New accounts typically see a single board here. A Ready badge means the board is online and available to score with.
Select Continue once your board is ready.
Next step
Continue to Playing Your First Game — the board selection step above is actually the first step of starting a game, so the two pages pick up in the same place.
